What to expect:
​
we will drive through Chapman's Peak Drive, which is one of the most scenic route in the world. it is a toll road, 9 km long and 593 m high. The drive is a fantastic illustration of the sedimentary and erosion processes.
Panoramic views of Hout Bay and Noordhoek beach can be enjoyed from different sites.
What to wear:
Included: Experienced and qualified mountain guide in English, Italian and/or German language.
A cup of tea or coffee and charcuterie

Excluded: hiking gears (it depends on availability)
Transport: pick up can be arranged

Meeting Point: Chapman's Peak in Hout Bay
Start Time: 8am in winter (Apr-Sep)
7am in summer (Oct-Mar)

Difficulty: easy to moderate

Route: We will ascend to Chapman's Peak at 582 m and have a few stops along the path. We will admire dense patch of watsonias and proteas across the saddle between the two peaks. Spectacular are the views of Karbonkelberg coastline, Duiker island and Gordon's Bay on the distance as well as Hout Bay.

Comfortable footwear (hiking boots or running shoes)

The weather is unpredictable in the mountain so please bring a raincoat and wear layers of clothes so you can take off and on.

Walking poles can be useful to not put strength on knees and ankles (optional)

Water (at least 2 litres if it is a hot day even more, a cup every 60 minutes)

Sunblock, daypack, camera, bikini and hat in summer

Long pants, beanie and gloves in winter
